i listen to a whole lot of music, and absolutely adore talking all about it!!! i've attempted to organize what I listen to in terms of genre... although there is a lot of overlap!!! my fav artists are bolded!!

hardcore [gabber, glitchbreak, speedcore, breakbeat]

this category is probably one of the most broad... i have a very heavy bias towards music thats especially harsh, loud, and fast, so any sound of that kind goes here! some of my absolute favorite artists reside here... like t+pazolite, 4lung, Purity Filter, golemm, novocain, Kaizo Slumber, and knifehandchop. I also enjoy femtanyl, prodigy, s3rl, akiba, igorrr, akiba, and nanoray.

hyperhardcore [plunderphonics, jersey club, mashcore, hyperpop]

high energy synth-heavy remixed stuff, frequently genre-fluid and a mixture of all the stuff I listen to. some artists here include frost children, underscores, jane remover, eliminate, gupi, fraxiom, 100 gecs, c0ncernn, dashie, the hellp, six impala, tv room, mimideath, r u s s e l b u c k, and user-177606669.

prog emo [swancore, prog rock, emo/punk, shoegaze]

exactly what it says on the tin; i like a mix of slow and dull, as well as fast and bright. i play electric guitar myself, but i'm nowhere near good enough to be able to play any of the stuff that i listen to, like hail the sun, i met a yeti, abandoned pools, loathe, fail better heal faster, and origami angel

etherpop [synth pop, lofi indie]

i also really like that dreamy, floaty kind of music that's good to listen to on a long drive while the sun goes down. i don't listen to this stuff as much, but it's something i always come back to. includes sweet trip, imogen heap, candy claws, alex g, ecco2k, stereolab, ricky eat acid, djo, daft punk, and tv girl
