I Met A Yeti just released a new EP!!! Titled Time Erasure, it's pretty brief, lasting about 13 minutes with 4 songs total. My favorites off the track are Cthuwu (which was released earlier last month as a single), and Danger! Chupacabra!, but all the songs are good if you like IMAY in general.
I wanted to write a bit about Danger! Chupacabra!, though, because it deviates from their usual style. It has more remixing, digital sounds, and synth than anything I've heard from them before!! It has vocals, but they are much more relaxed and casual. Its just all around a much more laid-back, chill beat that is kinda out of place in this EP, but I found myself really enjoying! I'm excited to see what they do in this direction in the future, and hope they play with this kind of sound in a morse harsh & chaotic way!!
the whole EP is a banger, and it's clear that the group had a lot of fun with each song. once again, I fell in love with the passionate, quick guitar, the intensely emotional yet soft vocals, and the energetic precussion that ties the whole thing together. i can't wait to see what I Met A Yeti does next!!
